Blessed

I can honestly say that if any of them perished I would wilt away to nothing. I see them everyday, after day, after day. I talk with them, walk with them, laugh with them, learn with them. They are all distinctly individual yet eerily alike. Their most impressive quality? Sheer omniscience. If I could step into their minds I would see miles and miles of ideas spinning like giant wheels, each idea growing, expanding, coming more and more to fruition and moving on to its own individual path of victory. The ideas are great, they are forward and they are inexplicably creative.

Lumped in with their brilliant minds are piles of patience and kindness and sharp-witted senses of humor. They are savvy, responsible, by the book, they are driven. They find humor in the tensest of situations. Their main job is to sweat the small stuff and some days, unintentionally, a bunch of them wear almost the exact same plaid, short-sleeve button down shirt on the same day. They are fair, they are honest and they are warm. Their general reputation is that of intellectual achievement sometimes coupled with a lack of social aptitude. A few of them may possess a likeness to this generalization but it makes them all the more endearing to one who appreciates the individual and what they bring to you and the world.

They are my mentors, my friends, my support system, my reason for succeeding. Collectively, they're more a teacher to me than anyone Ive ever encountered in a school. They challenge me, whether they realize it or not, they build me into the force that is them. They make me smile, deep down to the bone smiles, a hundred times in a day. I keep them moving, clear their paths in the smallest ways and barrier them from the outsiders who thirst for what they possess. They are my joy each day, they inspire me endlessly. I dont know how I got so darn lucky.

Who are they?
My Engineers
